When we first found out that we’re going to have a girl, my mom was like “oh, that’s great! For the first kid, babygirls are the best, because they’re easier to handle than boys.”
Some believes that when it comes to raising kids, gender do matters. But what also matters is our own expectations and personality.
And testosterone mystery is not a mystery! We all know what makes us women different from men. “Recent research, however, makes a compelling case that just as there are clear-cut anatomical differences between boys and girls, there are differences in brain chemistry as well - differences that influence behavior.
Some of these "differences" may be stereotypes - the boy who's so aggressive that he breaks everything he touches or the girl who bursts into tears if you look at her cross-eyed.” Ok, as I talk to many mommies that’s true in most cases, but not ours!
Our little pretty princess Isabella isn’t that typical sensitive, cuddling girlish kid, she’s more like a tomboy... she likes cars, dinosaurs (yes, I just bought another two dinosaurs yesterday for her) and she likes to brake toys and take them apart, which is thanks God, a sign of intellectual curiosity (at least the scientists says so). So, when breaking toys apart our kids may just trying to figure out how things work and they are not just a potential destroyers! But I also see, she likes to be pretty, so when I put some flowers or hair bow on her head, she like to hear how pretty she is, sometimes she takes it off but than put it back again. And also likes to play with the dolls. So I guess she’s just a bit more boyish, not just a princess type and often has energy for three boys. But on the end I’m just happy she’s a happy, healthy kiddo.
And you know what!? The interesting thing is, that the parents of girls often believe they're harder to raise while those with boys make the same claim of males.
The bottom line is that raising children is hard work, regardless of gender. I think you’ll all agree with that, right!?
